EASTER & HOLY WEEK

We began last sunday in our Palm Sunday worship with ‘It was on a Sunday’ when we heard that God is to be found in the un-expected places of our lives. The places which need more attention, perhaps, more challenge, more renewal. Today, we see a God who is capable of pro-active demonstration; a God who will not just stand by and watch injustice without stepping up and making a point. Is it time for us to look at how we respond to things?

Then he, the holiest man on earth
Went through the bizarre bazaar
Like a bull in a china shop.
So the doves got liberated
And the pigeon sellers got angry.
The police went crazy
And the poor people clapped like mad,
Because he was making a sign
That God was for everybody,
Not just those who could afford it.
He turned the tables on Monday...
The day that religion got in the way.
